General
HABONIM ball valves "V" Series for vacuum service offer reliable and economical solutions for
applications that require vacuum service valve operation.
Standard Habonim ball valves can easily be converted for effective use in vacuum service
applications down to 2.666 pascal, and with specific preparation, can also perform in higher
vacuum service applications, down to 0.000132 pascal.
Vacuum Valves Certifications
• Fire safe design according to ISO 10497 and API 607.
• Fugitive emissions tested according to ISO 15848-1 and API641.
• All valves designed for vacuum service are expertly prepared and cleaned to standards
required for the safe operation of vacuum service equipment and product purity.
Vacuum
Vacuum is defined as a space in which the pressure is below normal atmospheric pressure, so
that the remaining gases do not affect processes being carried on in the space.
Design
Habonim Vacuum Service valves are available in a variety of connections – threaded, welded,
and flanged. Sizes range between ¼” to 8”.
Valve’s body available in wide range of materials with 316 stainless steel and carbon steel being
the standard offering, 316 stainless steel is standard for ball and stem. TFM and PTFE are standard
materials for seals and stem O-ring used for vacuum service valves.
High Vacuum Applications
Applications such as the stated below would most likely perform under vacuum conditions:
• Plasma Processing and Research.
• Thin Film Coating, Atmospheric and Space Simulation.
• Gas and Materials Analysis.
• Materials Research and Processing.
• Vacuum Metallurgy and Joining Techniques.
• Environmental Testing and Lab Applications.
Although there are numerous methods for measuring vacuum service, some of the most
common measurements are shown in the table below.
